Illustrator Neal Adams passed away on April 28th. He left his mark on comics with his modernization of Batman in the late '60s; his fluid, semi-photorealistic style was a stunning break from the way superhero comics had been drawn up to that point, and it changed the comics forever. Top two panels from "World's Finest Comics" issue 176, recolored in "Batman Illustrated by Neal Adams Vol. 1." The third, a cover, is the recolored version from BIbNA Vol 2. ~~~~~~~~~~~ (Next A* page is drawn with two big close-up Selenis eyes waiting for me to mess them up in watercolor on Monday. o_o :)
